Welcome to Term Break Casual Classes at Maison Burlesque Thornbury!
Join us Monday 14th-Thursday 17th October at 6.10pm for Open Level classes, and at 7.20pm for Intermediate level classes while some of the teachers take a break between terms.
Casual classes can be booked as a single drop-in, or also using one of our value 4- 8- or 16- class passes.
Fan Dance Technique (Intermediate Level)
Are you fan-tastic with fans, but looking to fine tune those skills? In this technique course, Maple Rose will work your biceps, tone your triceps, and loosen up those wrists!
Not only will you gain strength and flexibility to help you fly with ease, we’ll boost your repertoire of moves, tighten those fan grips, transitions, posture, audience engagement, and play around with some fan-cy footwork.
In this course you will learn key skills for fan dancing and flow work, such as:
Alignment & lines
Grip Changes
Zippers and all within the zipper family
Kaleidescopes/Weaves
Windmills
Rollercoasters
This will be a physically intensive class suitable for people of all genders with no previous fan dance experience wanting to improve their skills or work towards solo fan dance performance.
